Youth Basketball Clinic sign-ups have been held, with the event itself scheduled for six weeks in January and February next year.

The official registration was hosted on Thursday, Dec. 5, on the opening night of the Ron Peterson Tip-Off Basketball Tournament, in the lobby of the Fauria Gymnasium on the RHS campus. Bruin coaches and players all help out with the youth hoop clinics and games.

The first two Saturdays, Jan. 4 and 11, will consist of clinic days, where players receive coaching. The final four Saturdays will be a chance for the youngster to try out their new skills, with contests scheduled on Jan. 18 and 25, and Feb. 1 and 8.

Clinics and games are held on those Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon, and all are held at the RHS Fauria Gym.

First and second graders play from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m., third and fourth graders from 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m., and both fifth and sixth graders, along with the seventh and eighth grade group, play at the same time, from 11:15 a.m. to noon.

The program will accept late sign-ups on the two clinic days in January, as well.
