Perfect Union in downtown Riverbank has been serving the local community since July 2020. CEO David Spradlin shared some insight on what the company is about and the plans for the future as 2021 just got started.
“The city has been overwhelmingly welcoming, and we are seeing the results in our 2020 sales,” stated Spradlin. “We have grown revenues by 70 times since taking over operations and are projecting to see that sustained through 2021.”
The Recreational and Medical Dispensary offers a variety of cannabis products like edibles, pre rolls, topicals, concentrates, flowers, and beverages.
“Perfect Union also strives to offer quality in everything we do while giving back to those we serve,” added Spradlin. “We believe that informed patients are better able to maximize the plant’s benefits, so our highly trained staff provides Riverbank a level of one-on-one service, consumer education and quality cannabis products they can trust and rely on.”
Spradlin conceived the idea and opened his first dispensary in Orangevale around 2009 and has grown with locations in Sacramento, Marysville, Turlock, Seaside, Weed, Morro Bay, and Riverbank. Five of those locations were opened in 2020.
“Perfect Union chose Riverbank because we like to go into markets where we can make a meaningful impact and sink roots into the community,” noted Spradlin. “Riverbank fits both of those goals. We love that Riverbank is a tight-knit, friendly community that has so warmly welcomed us to town. It’s a great location just a short distance off the 108 and on the way to Highway 99, so we are able to serve customers from Knights Ferry, Oakdale, Escalon, Riverbank and the surrounding areas.”
The business has remained open through the pandemic as cannabis was deemed an essential service. Spradlin explained that they are a premier cannabis dispensary with quality products, exceptional service and the staff receives ongoing education. They pride themselves in hiring locals and supporting community organizations that help the homeless, hospitals, veterans, LGBTQ+ community and pet adoption.
“We feel very fortunate that we have been able to continue serving the community and keeping safe, reliable and tested products available,” remarked Spradlin. “We have adjusted our store operations to comply with CDC guidelines sanitizing surfaces regularly, reducing capacity, practicing social distancing and wearing masks.”
They implemented new systems due to COVID with sanitation stations, limiting traffic, and offering curbside pickup.
