Modesto Police are reporting that a Riverbank man was killed in a July 14 shooting in that city.

On Saturday evening at about 6:30 p.m., Modesto Police Department officers responded to a 9-1-1 call of a shooting in the 1500 block of Nian Way. A male victim was located with at least one gunshot wound and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Riverbank resident, Alejandro Lizarraga-Cabrera.

A second incident involving a shooting victim was reported a few minutes later at Carpenter Road and Hatch Road. Detectives are investigating both incidents and are attempting to determine if the two cases are related.

No suspect had been arrested as of presstime for The News.
